About Us

The Werribee Bushwalking & Outdoor Club comprises over 50 members, mostly ranging in age from 35 to 75 who all share a common interest of enjoying the bush and a pleasure of walking. We are an affiliated club of Bushwalking Victoriaexternal link opens in new window/tab.

The Club aims to provide at least 1-2 walks per month. These are mostly held on Sundays and are usually conducted in metropolitan parks or gardens, or national or state parks. The Club also organises occasional overnight walks, weekends away, shutterbug (photography) events, bike rides and social activities.

The Club produces a monthly newsletter that is sent to all financial members. The newsletter contains previews of upcoming walks, reviews of walks held in the previous month, and any other relevant news or issues that may be of interest to members.

Club meetings are held at 8.00 pm on the second Thursday of each month (except in January when there is no meeting) at the Old Shire Offices on the corner of Watton Street and Duncans Road in Werribee. Many of our meetings are preceded by a guest speaker or information session on a topic of relevance to our activities. Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings.
